We always love shooting at The Hycroft! There are so many rooms for great shots and the garden is of course well maintained and great for photos too! And for a lovely couple like Alice and Todd, the extra privacy for the shoot also adds to the mood and it was just so great to see their love for each other come out during the shoot. Words can’t really begin to describe how nice these couple is! A former colleague of our Chris’ twice, it was just awesome to see our good friends get hitched and also be given the honour of capturing their important day! Needless to say, the entire “process,” for the lack of better words, was just awesome and so much fun! Future Butter bride Angie was also Denise’s maid of honour so that made it even more special for us as we can’t wait to capture Angie and Ryan’s big day next Summer! Congratulations Denise and Cris! Hope you had a blast on your honeymoon in Maui!

The weather was hot that day, but we made it through and found some shade wherever we can to cool off. Wendy and Seng were just so chill and calm and it was just so cool to work with them. Obviously we are honoured that they consider us to capture their big day but we can honestly say that there is greater joy in hearing that an old friend has found their soul mate. This was no different in Liza and Matt’s case! I had met Liza years ago (I mean like when GM place was just built years ago). Since our first consultation Gina and I have gotten to know Matt a bit better as well! They are both awesome people and we are so very looking forward to their wedding coming up in about a month at Westwood Plateau. Their E-session was in Gastown and we decided to start later in the afternoon so that we can get some cool evening shots there. Because of the jazz festival, the main streets were still blocked off even after the festival had ended and we took full advantage of that! This was another really fun e-session and we had a ton of fun shooting this one! Looking forward to your big day Liza and Matt!
