We had worked at the famous Fairmont Hotel Vancouver quite a few times over the past few years, but this time it was for their catering staff who work so hard throughout the wedding and holiday/Christmas party season! Always watching others eat their awesome food their, it was about time they had a night off to celebrate themselves! The management staff really know how to throw a great party there and Butter Photobooth was on site to make sure everyone had a bit (or a lot) of photoboothing fun! Congratulations on a fantastic 2011 FHV staff!

Sarah Jamieson | Walk in Her Shoes | Georgia Straight

Here’s a little fun piece… Have you seen this week’s Georgia Straight? Well the cover is nice and pink and Chris took this photo of the cover girl! The headshots/fitness shoot with Sarah was tons of fun! The real story though is of Sarah Jamieson, who is doing great things for the world through her love for fitness! Could you imagine yourself running 6 kms everyday for a full year? I know I can’t! She has made it a goal to raise $1 Million by the age of 35 and she’s over $800,000 already!

Her latest campaign just kicked off! Sarah will be supporting CARE Canada by running a 3 month campaign, which kicks off International Women’s Day from Mar 8, 2012 – May 20, 2012. Her goal (and she will beat it) is to raise $20,000 in support of CARE Canada’s key projects empowering women and girls. MJ Immortal Tour Night w/ Marriott Pinnacle Crew

Gina and Chris took a night off to enjoy the Michael Jackson Immortal Tour show at Rogers Arena. The night was organized and hosted by the incredible people at Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Vancouver staff led by the ever-lovely Koreena! By the way, if you haven’t checked out their recently renovated ballrooms, you should check it out HERE! As you can see from the photos, one of the newly-renovated ballrooms was converted into a funky and hip party room for the evening’s guests. Okay so we brought the camera on a day off but so glad we did! The evening started with amazing food catered by the Marriott catering team and the evening ended with an amazing cirque show performed to the beats of the late MJ! Extra awesome time as Harumi from Harumi Signature Weddings and Events and Kathleen from Real Weddings also took in the show with us that night! Great fun and thank you Koreena and the Marriott for the invitation!

We are very proud to announce that we have officially opened our new studio and home base for the Butter Team. As you may have noticed through some of our branding exercises recently, we are now known as Butter Studios! Our team stays the same and we’re going to do a fun introduction to each member in the very near future!

Needless to say our new 2000 square-foot facility offers a lot of great shooting spaces, features a comfortable consultation area for us to meet with you, and a great workspace for Chris, Gina and Team! Our location in Port Moody also offers a great variety of indoor and outdoor “looks,” which makes it awesome for Engagement, Baby, Maternity, Boudoir, Formals, and Family Shoots (studio or at Rocky Point Park across the street)!

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again! We have the best job in the world especially when we get to spend an evening photoboothing with such nice guests at an event! This past Saturday night we got to showcase our “Superbooth” with the TIO Networks staff at their Christmas party at the awesome and classy Westin Grand Hotel, Downtown Vancouver! Everyone had a blast with the X’mas Funky props and they had a lot of space to work with as the “Superbooth” setup allows for tons of group fun!
