We didn’t really have the time at the end of a busy August, BUT… we just had to. After a fun-filled engagement shoot with Cathy and Brandon and a quick dinner on Sunday, we hopped in the car and headed to downtown Seattle arriving at around 9:30pm. The night was still young so we were able to catch a few fellow Vancouver photogs for a couple of drinks and a lot of Seattle night photos (just for creative fun!). After about 5 hours sleep and an early start on the WPPI conference at the Marriott Waterfront, things were into full swing. We got to hear a bit of established US photographers like Jim Garner, Dawn Shields, Kirk Volcain and the headliner Jasmine Star! After a jam packed day of hearing some great speakers and hanging out with fellow artists, it was time to get some grub. Nothing says fine dining like Crab Pot… where they literally dump buckets of shellfish in the middle of the table. No plates… just a mallet and a chopping board. After that, it was time to drive home on a full stomach. As short as it was… as much of a profession responsibility it was… we had fun!
